Boxing is processual and takes time and commitment to improve. Physical and mental improvements can be tracked as you progress. It allows for self-improvement and comparison with the self that, as gains are made, allow for an improvement in body image. The body is no longer viewed as a passive object to be questioned, but rather an active being to be engaged with.

What You'll Need

  • Yourself and a pair of trainers
  • As you improve you may want to buy gloves etc

What You'll Do

  • Find a boxing gym - not boxfit - this will allow you to build relationships with coaches and other boxers, and will be much cheaper than joining a local gym.
  • Browse your local gyms and find the right promgram for you to join to help improve your issues with negative body image.
