If you notice thoughts about your body suddenly arise, take a moment to breathe and ask yourself whether you may be reacting to an event, comment, or outside trigger (for instance, fear about needing to speak a difficult truth may trigger this sort of thinking, rather than addressing the root of the problem and having the difficult conversation).
