For many people, will power is strongly related to low blood sugar. By planning healthy snacks between meals you can help reduce poor choices that often occur after long periods of not eating. Sometimes people think they simply are weak, because they reach for chocolate or candy. The reality is, most people reach for these types of foods when they have skipped meals or undereaten, at which point they are too hungry and may have low blood sugar, both of which often lead to poor or convenient food choices. You'd be amazed what arranging timing of meals can do for your cravings. Rather than trying to not eat a lot in the first half of the day, start with a proper breakfast and a mid morning snack, followed by lunch. A simple structure like this will amazingly impact your mid afternoon junk food cravings and get rid of them, for most people.

What You'll Need

  • Apples, almonds and plain yogurt

What You'll Do

  • Pack 2 snacks and a lunch for work daily.
  • Make time to sit and eat a proper breakfast with both carbohydrates and protein and some good fats such as avocado, hemp hearts or olive oil.
