Cut out sugar
Cut out all processed sugar from your diet. Fruit is fine. Over the period of a few weeks you will find you have more constant energy levels, no longer experiencing that mid afternoon slump. You will also sleep better at night. Use a handful of nuts for a pick me up instead of that fizzy drink/ cake/ chocolate etc that might happen to find its way to your desk!

- Easier to go cold turkey and cut out all processed sugar then cut down. It might be hard for the first few days but then you won't realise you are missing the sugar.
