You may have heard of the negativity bias which is a human function which means we are very good at focusing on the negative and find it hard to focus on positive. This had a very valuable function in evolution to protect us from danger but today is can mean that we all focus on the things that are wrong with us and miss all the things that are so right in us. On top of that 60% of us are not aware of our personal strengths. We have become so accustomed to thinking about the things we wish we were better at, the things we think we 'should' be able to do or 'should' do better that we are literally blind to all the things we are doing. Research has shown that just by identifying our strengths we are 9 times more likely to thrive in life because it boosts our confidence, our motivation and actually improves our productivity. If we can start to USE those strengths then we are 18 times more likely to flourish in our lives.
