- Make 1/2 plate fruits and vegetables
- Make 1/4 plate protein
- Make 1/4 plate whole grains
- Incorporate low fat dairy into your diet regularly for vitamins, minerals, and protein
Tips & Warnings
- Don't try to change everything at once. Take it one step at a time, such as starting out by increasing vegetables at each meal to reach 1/2 a plate's worth. Then move onto your next goal. This will make it much easier to adjust and you'll be more likely to stick with these changes long term!
