Avoid blue light to sleep better
Submitted by:
Blue light emits from our devices – and this particular light can have a negative effect not only on our physical health like eye sight but energy levels too. Especially if you have a job where you are in front of a computer all day, it's best to make sure you are protecting yourself as much as possible by avoiding your devices at home or switching things up a bit if you don't really have a choice. They just might help you gain more energy, sleep better and longer and help you feel more in control of your concentration!
What You'll Need
- Create a relaxing and calm pre-sleep environment for yourself with warm herbal teas, books and soothing Epsom Salt baths.
What You'll Do
- Get orange tinted glasses with a blue light filter to wear at night which may help block some of the blue light from your screens at home.
- It’s best to avoid having a TV in the bedroom and make the bedroom a ‘screen free zone.’
- Avoid watching movies, TV or being online or on smartphones 2 hrs before bedtime or after 7 pm as much as possible.
