Stress and anxiety are some of the biggest health cost on both a personal level and on a bigger scale in modern day societies. There are no quick fixes when it comes to stress, it has to be viewed holistically. It all starts in the mind and this is why mindfulness has been proved to be one of the most effective treatments for stress. Mindful-based-stress-reduction is an 8 weeks program where you learn mindfulness meditation techniques. You can sign up for the program online and it will slowly change the way you perceive the world, make you more present, less stressed and reduce anxiety and depression. The more mindful the less stressed. I can really recommend signing up for a program - it changed my own life when I was going through hard times during my doctor residency.
