Thrush is an absolute monster to get rid of. Think of it as the tip of an iceberg called Candida. This is a systemic yeast overgrowth in your body and is almost always the root cause of thrush. I could write an entire book on this subject, but what I can say is that it will take an entire lifestyle change to truly rid your body of candida. But in the meantime, there is one thing you can do to ease thrush naturally. Instead of using over the counter pills, you can try taking Oregano essential oil internally. Oregano is a powerful anti-bacterial and anti-fungal oil that can be very effective at killing all sorts of nasties in the body.

What You'll Need

  • Oregano essential oil

What You'll Do

  • Once you feel the beginnings of a bout of thrush, you need to start taking some oregano oil internally. You can either do this by adding a few drops to a glass of water 3 times a day, or putting a few drops into an empty capsule and taking with some water. Do this for 5 - 10 days and repeat if necessary after a resting period of a week.

Tips & Warnings

  • Please only use Oregano oil that is safe to use internally. DoTERRA is regulated by the FDA and is marked as safe to take internally or topically. DO NOT USE UNDILUTED ON THE SKIN. It is one of the "hot" oils and will feel extremely spicy if it goes on the skin undiluted! Also, be prepared for it to feel rather spicy on the way down your throat!
