Symptons of a burnt tongue and no memory of burning it?
If you have noticed that your tongue is feeling sore or burnt but you have no memory of burning it, there could be several reasons. The most obvious one is you were just enjoying your meal so much you didn't notice, but if this repeatedly happens it could be something else. And if this happens I recommend you visit your doctor or dentist to rule out anything more serious. Among many explanations, a reasonably common one is something called "Geographic Tongue", it is nothing to be worried about, it is similar to psoriasis. But regardless, if you notice any lesion on your tongue or cheeks you can't easily explain, head to your doctor or dentist. If you have been diagnosed with Geographic tongue by your dentist, there are a few things that help reduce the soreness. Pay attention to what makes it feel worse, common irritants are tomatoes, sour food and fizzy drinks.
