Sometimes the best way to deal with fear is to talk to a good friend or family member about it. Mind you: you'll ideally want to speak with someone who is non-judgemental and listens empathetically, not with someone who will give you unsolicited advice and tries to 'fix' you. If that's not possible or if you prefer to deal with it by yourself, you can write your fears and worries down in a notebook. Write down everything that pops up in your mind, the goal is to get the thoughts out of your head and out into the world. Airing your thoughts and feelings (whether verbally or on paper) helps to let go off them as it stops you from endlessly mulling over them.

What You'll Need

  • An empathetic & non-judgemental friend / family member or a notebook
