Peppermint for a Happy Tummy
The essential oils in peppermint are tummy friendly. They can relax the smooth muscle which lines the intestinal tract as well as stimulating the flow of bile (a digestive juice which breaks down fat). Simply enjoy fresh mint with your meal as a garnish, swirled into pestos or crushed into salsas or a fresh take on salsa verde. Alternatively, steep peppermint leaves in hot water for 3-5 minutes, strain and enjoy after a meal.
