Try to buy, prepare and eat food mindfully. If we are truly present we are more likely to make the right choices and improve our eating habits. Mindful eating can help to anchor ourselves in the physical body, and to become more familiar with our individual needs. Contemplate your food for a few seconds before eating, gather your senses and use them to appreciate each mouthful.

  • When you shop consider where the food came from and how it was produced.
  • As you prepare the food be mindful of the colours and textures and smell of the food.
  • When you eat pause and look at your food and feel gratitude and engage all your senses.
