Best Hangover Remedy
Most of us experience the occasional hangover. I discovered this VERY effective elixir when I was working in Switzerland 2 years ago. After a rare evening of drinking alcohol, I was terribly sick the following morning. And within 20-minutes of consuming what I consider this magical elixir, I was almost back to normal. Lemon juice has a similar atomic structure to the body’s digestive juices, which is why it’s such a powerful liver cleanser. It filters out toxins and helps process nutrients. After a night of alcohol consumption, this is an effective boost for the liver. Coffee contains an enormous amount of antioxidants and the body seems to absorb it extremely well. This contributes to the “pick me up” feeling one may experience. The combination creates a powerful anti-hangover effect.
What You'll Need
- Finely ground organic coffee (1/2 tablespoon)
- Fresh lemon juice (from 1 organic lemon)
What You'll Do
- Mix the coffee grind with the 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice until the texture is like a puree. Add more lemon juice if it remains too thick. Drink immediately.
- Extra credit As an added option upon waking in the morning, mix 1 tsp. of sea salt with 12-16 oz. of water and drink before having the coffee lemon elixir. This will further support the adrenal glands, creating more energy for the day(s) ahead.
