In those moments when everything feels like it is just getting too much, take a moment to practice some pranayama (breathing exercises) so help calm things down. Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Take a long slow inhalation through the nose and exhale a long and slow breath through the mouth. Do this a few times, taking your time to lengthen each inhale and exhale. Once you feel settled and your breath has slowed down, start to count your breath, breathing in to a slow count of 4,3,2,1 and then breathing out to the slow count of 4,3,2,1. As you do this try and take a little pause at the top of the inhalation, and a small pause at the end of your exhalation. Do this for 5 minutes for a great easy way to help reduce anxiety, stress, and help you filmier grounded, calm and centered.
