I used to suffer with sore throats regularly.. if my immune system was down and I was tired that's where it would hit me straight away, so I've honestly tried and tested a lot of remedies and these are by far the best cures I've come across:

What You'll Need

  • Manuka honey
  • Tea tree oil
  • Dark Chocolate (sorry white or milk chocolate wont cut it!)
  • Warm water & salt

What You'll Do

  • Manuka Honey - It does wonders for healing the throat, so either eat it straight off a spoon, or if you choose to put it in a hot water then make sure the water isn't boiling otherwise it will kill off all the goodness from the honey, so you want it just luke warm.
  • Salt Water with a drop of Tea Tree Oil - Mix warm water with real salt and a few drops of tea tree oil and then get gargling.
  • Dark Chocolate - I know this one sounds a bit odd but a pharmacists told me about this years ago and it really does work. Suck on some dark chocolate for as long as you can (try to resist the temptation to gobble it up) and let the chocolate melt in your mouth and trickle down your throat.. it helps coat the throat and restore it. Now we knew it was good for us all along! haha
