Nasal congestion can worsen when you lie flat or remain inactive. Gentle activity such as tilting your head or changing body positions can mobilise stagnant secretions and help ease nasal congestion. At bedtime, keeping the head elevated on at least 2 pillows helps air flow more freely through congested nasal passages.
