To make me feel happy and to regularly practice gratitude, I have recently adopted this technique. As I climb into bed in the evening, I write down in my journal the 3 things I am most grateful for that happened to me that day. It helps me to focus on the positives, no matter how small they are. It's also a great way of turning around and reframing a rubbish day. I also write down the 3 things I am most looking forward to the following day. This helps my mind to think of the next day through a positive lens before I go to sleep.

What You'll Need

  • Pen & paper, journal or just you!

What You'll Do

  • You don't have to write the 3 things down, you can say these out loud or even in your head.
