So, anyone else who is familiar with the frustrating experience of heat rash like me, knows the reality of the situation is there’s a lot of itching and this itching only gets worse though sweating which is basically inevitable in the heat so yes, we’re screwed. But over time I have found the most effective solution for me has been Calamine Lotion. It’s available in most pharmacies like Boots or Superdrug over the counter and if my personal experience isn’t enough to convince you let me explain exactly why it works. Calamine Lotion is a medication used to treat mild itchiness but also naturally dries out skin irritation. So yes, it’s the two-in-one solution to heat rash. It reduces the itchiness but also prevents the development of further irritation by reducing moisture on the area. Now be aware, it’s not magic and will work better on some than others but fundamentally it’s a great option to try. Cheap and accessible.

What You'll Need

  • Pharmacy
  • Heat rash (unfortunately)
  • Calamine lotion

What You'll Do

  • Patch test if you’re one of those people who actually follow instructions!
  • Apply to affected area
  • Smile because you’ve just found a solution to all your heat rash ;)
