Acupuncture Helped Me with some of the symptoms of CFS

A friend who had CFS suggested I try doing regular acupuncture and I found that it really helped. When I started acupuncture I had had CFS for about over 8 months with little to no improvement. Although acupuncture did not entirely cure my symptoms it did help relieve and improve them, to the extent that I was sleeping a little less and could do some basic things like run errands. Specifically, I found the acupuncture sessions helped me relax, helped with some of the anxiety associated with living and battling with chronic fatigue syndrome. Additionally it helped with the aches and pains which helped me sleep better at night

  • Find a reputable Acupuncturist

What You'll Do

  • Make sure you find a very good acupuncturist, ideally with experience in treating fatigue. Some acupuncturist are also trained medical doctors so if you are nervous about going down the alternative health route this can help make you feel in a safe hands
  • Stick to the routine that the acupuncturist recommends: if they say come back in a week, or 3 weeks, stick religiously to the treatment plan that they have laid out

Tips & Warnings

  • Its worth pointing out that it took a few sessions to start feeling improvements. So don't give up on the first or second appointment. Sadly as those of us with CFS it is not something that be fixed in a 40 minute session
