The cure depends on the type of Jelly Fish. This cure is for the Mauve Stinger which is common in the med (notable for it's mauve warts all over the bell and long tentacles). Rinse the affected area with salt / sea water to remove any remaining stingers. Take some painkillers and leave the affected area uncovered. If the burn gets worse over the following few days get it checked out by a doctor as it can become infected and require antibiotics.

What You'll Need

  • Salt Water, Painkillers

What You'll Do

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not try and wash the sting with fresh water as this only makes the burn worse. DO NOT PEE on the sting as it is likely to increase the chances of infection.
