Although the sound of this might make some people stressed just thinking about it this really is an amazing tool to help understand and monitor your stress levels and your body's response to them. Once you are able to identify what causes you stress and both the physical and mental symptoms you can then start dealing with what causes you stress. You might be surprised.

What You'll Need

  • Pen & Paper
  • or smart phone etc.

What You'll Do

  • Create a 5 column table with the following headings: Date - Cause of Stress - Time - Physical Symptoms - Emotional Symptoms
  • Under each one, whenever you feel stress such as getting stuck in traffic, getting an email which you have to deal with urgently, an interview start filling out the table being very honest with yourself
  • Do this for a few days and you might see a pattern emerging which you can then start to deal with.
